Saving Solidworks File

 UPDATE: You can save it as a Parasolid (.x_t)  it seems to also help especially if you have to run Simulations or COMOSworks.



1. Save as an eDrawing (.eprt or .easm) while allowing full measuring options at the time of the save.

This will allow anyone needing just the measurements to view it in eDrawing viewer free from SolidWorks. 

 

Saving it with the above options allows anyone to measure.

2. Or you can save it as an IGES (.igs) file this way it can be opened and redrawn by an older version of Solidworks.
